Our tallow is locally sourced from my family's 4th generation farm. Many of my fondest childhood memories were made there. I love that our tallow lotion keeps me connected to my rural roots.
My uncle and cousin carefully pasture raise the cattle on our family's land. These men are truly passionate ranchers who care about their animals. I love that we source our tallow from them!

Hi there! I'm Cam. I'm a wife, mom to a baby girl, and lover of all things natural!
Well Made tallow lotion found its start in the winter of 2023. A friend gave me a bit of tallow from her cattle, and I began tinkering with my own lotion recipe. After seeing its results in my own skin, I quickly became obsessed.
My lotion formula gained some attention in April of 2023. During my pregnancy, my midwife raved about my skin. When I credited it to my tallow lotion, she joked that I should sell it to other pregnant mamas. I didn't think too much of it at first.
Fast forward to my maternity leave, and I was desperately looking for an exit from corporate America. My midwife's comments came back to mind. I realized that I could utilize the natural tallow from the family farm in central South Dakota. One call to the butcher and the rest is Well Made history!
Now, Well Made is happily providing healthy, clean options through our growing line of products.
